Swaddle Designs: Review and Giveaway

GIVEAWAY + Review! Swaddle Designs new muslin singles! Adorable black + white designs. Read more at Gracefulmommy.com

The first time I heard about swaddling was at a birth class my husband Dave and I attended. We were taught how to swaddle using doll babies and tiny hospital blankets. Everyone in the class could NOT figure out the whole swaddling thing. They were all falling apart and looked nothing like “the picture”. After that class I kept hearing about swaddling, so I started to realize how important it was. When Gracie came, we swaddled her all the time! I watched tons of youtube videos on how to swaddle, and finally figured it out. Swaddling Gracie helped her sleep better because it allowed her to not wake up due to that startle reflux newborns have. Swaddling is also said to help prevent against SIDS. By having baby properly swaddled with their face up, they are less likely to fidget and roll to their tummy. Swaddling is also great because it means baby can’t scratch their face in the middle of the night! One thing I would recommend is to NOT use the hospital blankets for swaddling. These are way too small. One of my favorite swaddle brand is Swaddle Designs.

Swaddle Designs kindly sent Gracie 2 of their new Muslin swaddle singles (but all of these opinions are my own!). Swaddle Designs swaddles are made from high quality fabric. They are very well made. I love how soft they are, and they actually get softer each time you wash them. They have the cutest prints and designs. I love their new black and white collection. We have the hedgehog and the lilies, but they also have an XOXO print and a panda print. So adorable!

We stopped swaddling Gracie to sleep at about 4.5 months old. Now, Gracie is almost 9 months old, but I still use these swaddle blankets! There are so many uses for these muslin swaddles.

1//Nursing Cover- Just tie two ends together and put your head through! So easy + quick. It’s so breathable, which is perfect while baby eats.

2//Sun Shade- Either put it up in the car to block the sun, or use over the stroller if its extra sunny on a walk!

3//Blanket- Gracie loves snuggling with these!

4//Burp Cloth- You never know when you’ll need one.

5//Picnic Blanket- We love to throw these outside for Gracie to play on!

6//Changing pad cover- Sometimes you have to use the public changer, and in that case, I always put a swaddle down first. When I get home I just throw it in the wash!

Little Standout Teethers

GIVEAWAY + Review! Little Standout silicone teethers! So cute + stylish. Read more at Gracefulmommy.com

Gracie is in full-on teething mode. That means everything goes to her mouth. She loves to chew on things to get relief from those teeth coming in. The problem is, not every teether works for Gracie. She is a little picky. She’ll try to chew on everything, but lots of toys make her frustrated. That’s why we’ve been on the hunt for the perfect teether. I think we may have found a winner: Little Standout.

Okay, first. Can we just talk about how stinkin’ adorable these are?! Have you ever seen a teether so cute?! Okay, sure… sophie the giraffe is sorta cute. But actually, that thing is a little creepy looking. I’m just loving Gracie’s new teether from Little Standout.

What I love most about these teethers is that they are extremely easy for Gracie to hold. I think Gracie loves the bright pink color (so do I!!).  They are made from 100% FDA approved silicone. So they are safe for Gracie. They are also non-toxic of course. No BPA, PVC, phthalates, lead, cadmium, + heavy metal. That’s super important to us!

Gracie could not stop looking at the cute diamond when I first gave it to her. She loves holding it, moving it from hand to hand, and of course chewing on it. The silicone is super flexible so it really helps to massage her gums. But, it’s also extremely durable.

Little Standout silicone teethers are also dishwasher safe. So easy to clean. You can put them in the fridge, or even the freezer for a bit to get it cold. Gracie loves when I do this! Right now, there are four teether designs: the diamond that Gracie has, the camera, the hashtag, and a hamsa hand. They also come in tons of colors.

Threaded Love Baby Pants Review

Threaded Love Baby Pants Review

Gracie was sent these adorable pair of maxaloones from an awesome shop called Threaded Love. If you don’t know what maxaloones are, they basically are stretchy pants, kind of like baby yoga pants, that are actually designed to grow with baby. They also are made to fit over cloth diapers. Gracie isn’t cloth diapered, but these fit her PERFECT. Threaded Love makes these pants so they are able to fit baby for many months (as opposed to most baby pants which are outgrown in like 2 weeks). The bottoms roll up and down and so does the waist. Right now, this pair fits Gracie perfect when both the legs are cuffed, as well as the waist. I know, though, that she will fit into these for a long time.

I am just in LOVE with the pattern Threaded Love chose! We are huge Disney fans, so the Little Mermaid print is perfect for Gracie. And I love the different pattern for the cuffs and the bum! So adorable.

Now let me tell you about the quality. Oh my gosh… these are like seriously well made. The fabric is thicker than most baby pants, which is why they feel so high quality. The stitching is very well done. I can’t get over how awesome these are. They are actually better quality than most store bought pants we have. That’s why we love shopping small. Things like this are handmade with love. We love that! Threaded love, do you make adult sizes?!? LOL!!Threaded Love Baby Pants Review Threaded Love Baby Pants Review

Threaded Love sells their baby leggings/maxaloones mostly on Facebook, but you can order on her Etsy page, too! You can also order custom leggings on her etsy page!
