I have been seeing these pictures all over Pinterest- a baby in a pumpkin. At first, I was like WHAT? Why are people putting their babies in pumpkins?? But then I was like… aw that is so cute! Haha! So here she is- Gracie in a pumpkin!

Grandpa and daddy cut out a hole in a big pumpkin while the girls got the props ready. Grandma put out some smaller pumpkins, and a witch hat. We found a towel to put inside the pumpkin (because the inside was really nasty) and we were ready!

I thought Gracie was going to hate being in there, but she actually loved it! Look at her big smile! What you don’t see is Grandma, Grandpa, dad, and Auntie Kaity all making funny faces at her to get her to smile! Whatever works, right?

How cute is that little pumpkin? Her pumpkin hat is from Janie and Jack. It has a little green stem on the top, but you can’t really see it.

Then, Grandpa carved Gracie’s name in the pumpkin! It really made the photo cute. We added some leaves to the front to make it extra “fall-y”.

I love this one! She loves standing and was ready to get out of that pumpkin.

And….. she’s done. Photoshoot over.

But seriously- how cute are these photos! I’ll cherish them forever!

It’s fall in Florida! Well.. its still 90 degrees, but the pumpkins are out! Ever since having Gracie, I’ve wanted to start traditions with her that we can do every year. Going to the pumpkin patch is something that I know we are going to enjoy each fall. This year, my mother in law and sister in law came with Gracie and I! Gracie loved looking at the pumpkins and all of the people there.

We had fun picking out the perfect pumpkin for Gracie’s upcoming photo shoot. We are going to put Gracie in a pumpkin. Stay tuned!

We found this adorable sign that looked so festive and ended up taking tons of photos. Gracie looks so cute in her OshKosh overalls! And just look at her leg rolls – is there anything cuter?

We had so much fun with Auntie Kaity and Grandma! The start of a new tradition!

Gracie did great at the pumpkin patch. She was so worn out after! We picked out some great pumpkins, had some fresh lemonade, and ate homemade oatmeal cookies. Happy Fall!

UPDATE: month 3

Height/Weight

We didn’t take Gracie to the doctor this month- so I’m not sure! She’s definitely growing though!

Routine

Gracie loves having a routine! She gets kind of out of sorts without one. But I’m not the type of person to be on a strict schedule.. so we are more go with the flow. We definitely do the same things each day and certain things come after certain activities. If you have read my post on the 90-minute baby sleep program, you know that Gracie loves this routine! She naps, then eats, then we play, then, 90 minutes from the time she last woke up, she goes down for another nap!

Sleeping

Gracie is a great sleeper! She takes naps throughout the day- usually 4. And goes to sleep for the night pretty easily. She has been sleeping longer stretches at night (WOO!!). Usually 6-8 hours. We’ve even gotten a 9 hour stretch! Go Gracie go!

Eating/Feeding

Still exclusively breastfeeding and still loving it! Gracie eats every 2 hours- except at night like I mentioned. I’m still fascinated by the fact that my body alone can provide life for Gracie. It is too cool.

Sizes

Gracie is wearing size 0-3 month and size 3 month clothes! I officially put away all of the newborn clothes! AW SAD! It’s crazy how fast she is growing.

Milestones

Gracie is smiling a ton! She has done a few really great laughs. Like belly laughs! Those are the best. She finally loves bath time. PHEW. She loves being outside. She likes being on her tummy more. She loves to do baby talk. And sleep! She loves to sleep.

How I feel

Hmm… different story over here. Up until this point, I have been doing great! But, I had still been bleeding since birth and apparently that is not normal. I had to get a few tests and ultrasounds done. It turns out there was still some stuff leftover from birth (EW) that had to be removed. So, a couple of weeks ago, I went in for surgery to get it removed. Crazy! A couple days after, I was very tired and weak. But I started to feel better! I finally feel completely normal! YAY! Cause that was NO FUN.
