Dave, Gracie + I just got back from our quick weekend getaway to the Guy Harvey Outpost in St. Pete Beach. It was such a fun little trip, and we enjoyed every second with our princess! The hotel was awesome. They upgraded our room to a suite when we checked in! YAY! The hotel was right on the beach, so we spent a lot of our time there. It was a very cold weekend, so we didn’t get to swim, but we did enjoy walking on the beach and enjoying the hotel hammocks :). Check out all of our pictures below, or watch our vacation video!

We ate breakfast at Guy’s Gulfside Grill- and it was delish! Gracie was being adorable, as always… and the chef actually noticed how behaved and cute she was. He cooked her up her own minnie pancake and brought it out to her himself!! It was so cute. Gracie loved trying her very first pancake! Thanks Chef!!

There were so many hammocks around on the property. It was probably my favorite part to just lay and relax in the sun with Gracie + Dave. That’s what vacation is all about. Family Vacation: Guy Harvey Outpost in St. Pete Beach - More details at Gracefulmommy.comFamily Vacation: Guy Harvey Outpost in St. Pete Beach - More details at Gracefulmommy.comFamily Vacation: Guy Harvey Outpost in St. Pete Beach - More details at Gracefulmommy.comFamily Vacation: Guy Harvey Outpost in St. Pete Beach - More details at Gracefulmommy.com

We also loved playing in the sand and on the little chairs they had. So fun! Gracie is such an easy baby that she really likes anything we do. LOL! She loves being outside because there is plenty to look at. And she always takes an awesome nap after being outside for a while.

For dinner, we ate at the RumFish Grill. What makes this restaurant special is the GIANT fish tank they have inside. Actually they have 3 fish tanks in the restaurant, but one is like massive. HUGE. It was actually built on the TV show Tanked, and it was one of their largest tanks ever. So that was cool! Family Vacation: Guy Harvey Outpost in St. Pete Beach - More details at Gracefulmommy.comFamily Vacation: Guy Harvey Outpost in St. Pete Beach - More details at Gracefulmommy.com Family Vacation: Guy Harvey Outpost in St. Pete Beach - More details at Gracefulmommy.com

The hostess sat us a little far from the tank, so we asked if we could move closer and they were so accommodating. Our waiter moved us literally in front of the tank. Gracie had so much fun during dinner. She loved watching the fish in the tank! I think we need a fish tank in the house to keep her busy while we eat! Just kidding, but it was awesome. We got to enjoy our meal without worrying about Gracie at all. She loved every second.

Baby’s First Beach Day!

Gracie has finally made it to the beach! My parents live right near the beach, so we’ve taken her close to the beach, but never on the sand and near the water. We went on an extremely windy day, so we didn’t get too many pictures. Gracie loved the wind in her face, though. She finally got to stick her little toes in the water. Please don’t make fun of how white I am. LOL! Having a baby means no more laying out for 2+ hours in the sun.

We didn’t stay too long. And it was so windy I didn’t get to take any videos :(. But, Gracie took an amazing nap after. She actually fell asleep on the car ride home which she NEVER does. YAY!

Gracie loved the toys at Grandma + Grandpas! Baby's first beach day! Gracefulmommy.com Baby's first beach day! Gracefulmommy.com

We had fun at the beach with Grandma + Grandpa! Can’t wait to take her again!

Some tips for taking baby to the beach:

1//Be flexible- Because it was so windy, we ended up not staying too long. Sometimes you gotta change your plans up. Beach day turned into “beach 10 minutes”.

2//Bring sunscreen!

3//Pack a huge towel or blanket

4//Put a hat on baby

5//Don’t go during peak hours. Next time I want to bring Gracie around 4ish. Or maybe in the morning around 9.

What are your great beach tips with baby?!
