PUMPKIN PATCHIN’

How to take better photos at the pumpkin patch
How to take better photos at the pumpkin patch

We finally took our annual trip to Bedner’s Pumpkin Patch! It’s such a fun family tradition that we do every year! Taking photos at the pumpkin patch can be tricky. Here in South Florida, it’s HOT and the kids can easily get bothered.

But, I’d love to share some tips on how to get better pumpkin patch photos!

1. Try to go on a cloudy day. Of course, it was sunny when we went. But ideally, cloudy days are best for photos!

2. Go during the week – if possible! It’s easier to avoid people in the background of your photos.

3. Take TONS of photos. I just go shutter crazy.

4. Opt for the candid photos. I LOVE shooting candid photos. I feel like it’s way less stress and pressure than when you force the kids to stand still. Ask them questions to get them in a cute pose, like “Whoa! Do you see that tiny pumpkin over there? Go see if it’s heavy!”

5. Get down on your kid’s level. This perspective is always best for photos of children!

Here are some photos from our day.
