Spring Fashion with JORD

Last year I received a gorgeous women’s watch from JORD. Here is a look at my previous JORD post! I am so lucky to be working with JORD again to feature one of their men’s watches on my blog.

It’s finally Spring! Even though I currently live in Florida, I still love the change of seasons, because that means fashion changes too!

My husband Dave is a very simple guy when it comes to fashion. If you look in his closet (not even kidding), he has like 15 shirts but they are almost all identical. He pretty much uses 1/10th of his walk-in-closet. But, he is very into watches! So I was excited to hear what he thought about his new JORD watch.

Dave loves it! Every JORD watch is so unique, but they are all made from wood. We love the look and feel of their wood watches because they are light, but fresh. The natural look of them is so appealing to us. And they are super light-weight too!

Dave received the olive and acacia watch from the DOVER series. What we love most about this watch is the two-toned wood and the exposed gears inside. Makes it look super manly.

Sunflower Fields and Strawberry Patches

A few days ago we took Gracie to see sunflowers and pick strawberries at Bedner’s Farm! She had so much fun! It’s crazy because we took her here around the same time last year. So much has changed in one year. This time, Gracie was literally running down the rows. She loves flowers and smells them now, too.

And here is some photos from our trip this year! She was so active and had a blast!

Then we picked strawberries! Gracie loved seeking out the bright red ones to put in our bucket. Surprisingly she didn’t eat any of them, even though she LOVESSSSS strawberries. She was so focused on finding new ones! It was the cutest!

How to Style Shelves

We’ve been living in our new house for about 7 months. Everything is coming together exactly how I envisioned it! We have radically transformed the space and turned it into something so cozy!

If you’ve read our holiday home tour, you know my style is very minimalist. I am very much a “less is more” person. I actually like the walls to be kind of bare. To me, it feels so open and clean.

However, we had this giant white wall right when you walk in, and it was almost too empty, even for me! So we decided to hang 2 IKEA lack shelves, and decorate them!

Here’s the white wall I’m talking about. It’s just a little too plain and needed a little something.

First we leveled the shelves and hung the brackets.

We hung the shelves about 18″ apart.

Then started adding some decor!

I am obsessed with the way it turned out!

I like to style the shelves with things of the same colors. Not too busy, but I like it to look complete. Thankfully my mother in law is an interior designer and helped me decorate them! Thanks @graceindesign!

Greenery is one of my favorite colors to add to the home. It gives a minimalist home a cozier vibe. We added some snake plants, as well as some ferns. The fern leaves are actually fake. We cut them off a plant and flattened them in the frames. I love the way it came out.
