This reward chart is the perfect way to encourage these oral habits – but in a fun way! Just put a sticker on the chart every day if they brushed their teeth in the morning, at night, and ate healthy snacks that day!

One of my goals for 2019 is to reduce waste. One of the most important things we can do to protect our environment is to find different ways to reduce waste and move towards a more waste-free lifestyle. As a mom of two kids, I find it especially motivating to reduce my waste as I know it is helping their future. 

This is why I was SO excited when I learned about Gerber’s new partnership with TerraCycle. Gerber is partnering with global recycling leader TerraCycle to recycle their baby food packaging! This is so exciting for me because we LOVE Gerber and we use their products on a weekly basis. 

Gerber’s mission is to give babies the best start in life. And I love how their work doesn’t stop at nutrition. Now they are taking action to protect the planet so Gerber babies will grow and thrive for generations to come! 

Most of Gerber’s product packaging is already able to be recycled. Actually, 80% of their packaging can be recycled. However, for the rest of the packaging – the packaging that you can’t recycle at home, can now be mailed to TerraCycle for them to recycle! 

How to recycle baby food containers with TerraCycle: 

1. Gently wash all empty containers and place them back into the box. 
2. Attach the pre-paid shipping label on the front – it’s on them!
3. Ship to TerraCycle. It’s as easy as that!

I am so impressed with Gerber’s initiative to fund this new, national recycling program for hard-to-recycle baby food packaging. Gerber is one of the world’s most trusted baby food brands and this partnership is one of the many steps toward Gerber’s commitment to achieve 100% recyclable or reusable packaging by 2025! I’m so excited about this partnership Gerber has made with TerraCycle as it totally helps my 2019 goal to reduce my waste! Here are some other things I have been doing this year: 

1. Pack our food in reusable containers
2. Take tote bags to the grocery store
3. Switch to a reusable water bottle 
4. Drive an electric car
5. Switch to paperless billing

These changes can totally add up if we all do it! This partnership with Gerber and TerraCycle is going to make it so easy to recycle those hard-to-recycle baby packaging and I am SO excited about that!
