GIVEAWAY + Review! Cady + Jax Etsy Shop! So cute + stylish. Read more at Gracefulmommy.com

One of my favorite things as a mommy blogger is discovering new Etsy shops. Etsy can be so overwhelming at times, because there is just SO many things out there. I recently found a shop called Cady & Jax. The shop is run by two awesome ladies named Stephanie and Sarah. The specialize in baby booties, leggings, bows, and headbands. Cady & Jax generously sent Gracie a pack of adorable bows! I’ve also teamed up with them to giveaway a 2-pack Spring Bows set! Scroll down for more details.

Here is the bows Gracie got! I love them all, but I think my current favorite is the gold polkadot! I love gold anything lately, so I know Gracie will be wearing this one a lot. I really like the style of the actual bow. There are so many different types of bows out there, but Cady & Jax make very simple, elegant looking headbands that I just LOVE!

The headbands from Cady + Jax are perfect. They are made from soft nylon, so they do not hurt Gracie’s head. Sometimes bows made out of elastic are too tight, but these are perfect! They are actually a one size fits most- so they fit from newborn to adults!

Essentials for a Sick Baby

Must haves for when your baby is sick! Some things I haven't thought of.

Our poor baby is sick! She got sick this past Tuesday with a fever + cold all of a sudden. Poor thing. It was pretty bad timing too because Gracie had a Burt’s Bees Baby photoshoot scheduled for Thursday + Friday in Naples. We had to cancel because she was just too sick. On top of the congestion and fever, Gracie’s also been throwing up :(. It’s the absolute worst to see your baby sick! I wanted to share some of the things that we’ve been using that have helped a little! Must haves for when your baby is sick! Some things I haven't thought of.

1// Burts Bees PJs – We had to get Gracie girl snuggled up in her Burts Bees jammies in honor of our missed photoshoot. We were so bummed about cancelling the Burts Bees photoshoot, but we didn’t want to push Gracie while she was so sick. Plus, a boogery, snotty, baby doesn’t do the “best” in photoshoots. Even though I still think Gracie is so adorable when she’s sick.

Sorry for the poor photo quality!

2//Ear thermometer– I love this thing. At first, we tried taking Gracie’s temperature with the under the armpit thermometer… Let me just tell you- the thing took what seemed like 5 minutes to read her temp. She was so squirmy + fussy the whole time and it was just a nightmare. We found this ear one, and it literally takes one second. Gracie doesn’t even realize it’s in her ear by the time it’s done. And it seems very accurate. This was a must have.

3//Saline mist– Gracie was so congested that she could not breathe out of her nose. I could just tell she was so uncomfortable. This is so helpful for clearing those tiny passage ways. Just quirt 3-4 quick sprays in each nostril, then use the snot sucker.

4//Snot Sucker– I know i’ve talked about this before. Yes, you suck the snot out of babies nose. It honestly is a life saver, though. Go on amazon and read the reviews for yourself.

5//Tubby Todd Bubble Bath– One of the things that can cheer Gracie up in an instant is a bath. Why not make it extra fun with this amazing smelling bubble bath. This is the best way to distract a sick baby from their… sickness.

6//Mickey Mouse Clubhouse– Another great distraction from sickness. Gracie was so extra cuddly while she was sick that we would just cuddle up and watch a few episodes. A little extra TV can never hurt anyone.

7//Boogie Wipes– I love these for cleaning Gracie’s yucky nose up! Much better than regular wipes because they have saline in them. They are more gentle on baby’s skin!

BONUS//

BUBBLES- Who doesn’t love bubbles? Seriously- an instant cheer-up!

I recently started a new blog series highlighting my favorite shops that make items for a modern nursery. My first post in the modern nursery series featured Ray’s Room Embroidery Hoops. In today’s post, I’m showing you the cutest baby headwraps. This probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when you think of an item for a modern nursery. But, let me tell you… if you are a girl mom… these will definitely be in your baby’s nursery. These headwraps are from a shop called Wild Bloom Baby. The owner of the shop is Gillian, and she is fantastic. She makes the most fabulous bows, hats, and headwraps. Just take a look at these adorable headwraps Wild Bloom Baby sent to Gracie. Those COLORS! They are going to match Gracie’s new nursery so well.

The headwraps come in a one size fits all, but I know they make sizes for preemies, too! Crafting Pretty Things has tons of different fabric selections in their shop and they do custom orders as well. I’m obsessed with stripes, so naturally I put the pink stripe one on Gracie first. Look how adorable…

These headwraps can dress up any outfit. Gracie looks so cute wearing hers.

They are very, very well made. And when you order from Wild Bloom Baby, you know that you are getting a handmade item that was made with love. By shopping small, you are supporting someone’s dream!

Another thing I love about Wild Bloom Baby’s headwraps is how comfy they are. At first, I thought they were going to be stretchy, but they aren’t. Having them not stretchy helps the bow to keep it’s shape. They also don’t fall off of Gracie’s head like some of the stretchy headbands do.

One of the hard parts about the headwraps is tying them. I will admit, it’s a bit tricky to tie the first time. But try it on your leg first before you tie it on baby’s head. I also made a HOW-TO video showing the best way to tie one.
